The Landmark is a grand dame hotel in London’s affluent area of Marylebone. In fact, this luxury hotel is conveniently located opposite Marylebone railway station itself, so getting here is as effortless and enchanting as walking into an inner city garden oasis. Beyond the grand entrance lobby, a towering central atrium extends up eight floors, where it is met by a gleaming glass roof that protects the interior all year round.
By day, sun beams cast down onto the elegant Winter Garden Restaurant below, and by night, starlight bathes the hotel with a spellbinding glow, accompanied by romantic coloured up-lighters positioned by the exotic palm trees. Wedding guests will be enamoured by the beauty of this colossal space and The Garden Terrace positioned at the back of the atrium can be hired exclusively for glamorous drinks receptions. It’s a remarkable first impression to set the scene for the elegant wedding spaces scattered throughout the rest of The Landmark Hotel. The Grand Ballroom
The Grand Ballroom is the largest wedding event space available at The Landmark, and its soundproof adjustable partition wall allows you to create a more intimate atmosphere if desired. Soaring ceilings and glamorous drapes frame the floor-to-ceiling windows, and the natural light can be supplemented by the discreet up lighters and sparkling chandeliers positioned around the Ballroom. Below, the lilac and crimson carpet is an elegant neutral palette on which to form your wedding theme. This pastel base suites most colourways so you can be as creative as you wish.
The Marble Ballroom
Across the corridor from the Grand Ballroom, The Marble Ballroom is a decadent alternative for slightly smaller numbers. Deep green slabs of marble coat the lower walls and regal columns rise to meet intricately carved ceilings and flamboyant chandeliers. The historic fireplace forms a natural centre to the room, where you could place a dance floor and ceremonial staging, so that all guests are equally as close to the action. The Marble Ballroom also has efficient street access and a side room called the Champagne Suite, which works as a break out space or bridal changing area.
The Drawing Room
The Drawing Room is one of the most charismatic event spaces in the Landmark Hotel. The original 19th century wooden panelling and historic fireplaces transport you back to to days of billiards and drinking late night cocktails by the fire. Today, its atmospheric ambience still stands to entertain close friends and family, and the grand piano can be used to provide a classical soundtrack to your wedding day. During your traditional wedding breakfast, there is also all the necessary PA equipment available to carry out memorable wedding speeches and entertainment.
The Empire Room
This sublime suite benefits from lashings of natural light through its numerous floor-to-ceiling length windows and row of glimmering chandeliers. The indulgent drapes and royal blue carpet create a regal atmosphere that would proudly pose as backdrop to any luxury London affair. The long length of the Empire Room lends itself perfectly to an aisle, so the bride can make a memorable appearance as she walks towards her husband to be. Alternatively, a dramatic banquet table could occupy the centre of the room, showered by the warm glow of the chandeliers above.
The Tower Suite
Located on the fifth floor of the Landmark Hotel, The Tower Suite is a splendid option for more intimate wedding celebrations. Overlooking the central atrium of the hotel and the spectacular Winter Garden restaurant, this plush conservatory style apartment is a private haven to treasure with your closest loved ones. The three small interconnected rooms and a cloakroom are all yours to design. Perhaps use the central domed space for your wedding ceremony and banquet, and the alternative rooms can be scattered with poseur tables and lounge seating for celebratory drinks in the interim.
The Garden Terrace
The Garden Terrace is positioned to the rear of the Winter Garden Restaurant on a raised platform, and it makes a spellbinding space to host your wedding drinks reception. Whilst your own music cannot be used due to the public hotel areas surrounding it, the live classical piano or subdued background music is more than enough to create an atmosphere whilst your guests mingle with a sparkling champagne flute in hand. The decorative cast iron gazebo covers the area and can be entwined with blooming trailers to create a secret garden in the heart of The Landmark Hotel.
